Full Job Description SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Production Technician to apply a broad range of assembly, testing, and troubleshooting skills to build and support hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies, equipment, and systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble and test system components and perform functional and performance testing as required. Perform equipment setup, hookup, teardown, and system checkout as needed. Compare system components against parts lists and verify that assemblies are complete and accurate. Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues encountered during assembly and testing. Performs routine maintenance on equipment assigned to Electrical/pneumatic, Mechanical Assembly Department. Communicates effectively and cooperates willingly with engineering and assembly personnel to provide for an orderly and coordinated work effort. Perform all responsibilities safely and in accordance with established procedures, quality requirements, and production schedules. Support company quality objectives through consistent workmanship, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Assembly personnel to resolve production and equipment issues. Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment, including diagnosing failures, reinstalling software, and repairing equipment, fixtures, cables, probes, and related components. Build fixtures according to engineering designs, including mechanical fabrication, wiring, pneumatic plumbing, soldering, and installation. Perform validation testing of fixtures according to established protocols. Write, maintain, and update troubleshooting guides and documentation for production equipment.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
: Experience building electro-mechanical equipment, including: mechanical assembly, pneumatic plumbing, wiring of sensors, motors, and valves, connecting and integrating components to PC's and PLC's. Ability to solder in accordance with applicable IPC standards. Ability to diagnose equipment failures using schematics, drawings, procedures, and other standard troubleshooting documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work effectively with Engineering and Production teams.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Two-year technical certification or associate degree from a community college or trade school or at least four years of relevant mechanical, hydraulic, or electro-mechanical assembly experience. Two years of mechanical assembly experience in Medical device manufacturing, Semi-conductor Equipment, and final assembly and testing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 45 pounds .
