Job Title:
Production Technician Job Description The Production Technician assembles and wires filtration units, working both independently and as part of a team to build systems comparable in size to small HVAC units or generators. This role focuses on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic plumbing assembly, using power tools and cutting tools while following schematics to ensure high-quality, reliable products. Responsibilities Individually assemble filtration units from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the build process. Perform team-based assembly on larger filtration units that are similar in size to small HVAC units or generators. Assemble and wire electrical components according to schematics and work instructions. Work within a multidisciplinary assembly team that includes pneumatic, electrical, and plumbing functions. Build and route copper piping and other plumbing components as needed for the filtration units. Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings to complete assembly tasks correctly. Use power tools, cutting tools, and bandsaws safely and effectively during production and assembly work. Operate saws and drills to cut, shape, and prepare materials for assembly. Follow production schedules and instructions to meet quality standards and output targets. Inspect completed assemblies for proper function, fit, and finish, and make adjustments or corrections as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with production and safety guidelines. Essential Skills Strong hands-on assembly experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to assemble and wire electrical components using basic electrical knowledge. Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings. Experience working with power tools, including drills, saws, and cutting tools. Ability to use a bandsaw and other cutting equipment safely and accurately. Comfort working in pneumatic, electrical, and plumbing assembly environments. Basic mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an assembly team. Additional Skills & Qualifications Plumbing experience, especially working with copper piping and building out pipe systems, is a strong plus. Experience in a production, manufacturing, or machine assembly setting. Familiarity with electrical assembly practices and basic troubleshooting. General machine operation experience in an industrial or production environment. Why Work Here? The environment is structured, safety-conscious, and geared toward consistent, high-quality output. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hawthorne, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
