Manufacturing Technician Job Description The Graveyard Manufacturing Technician will be part of a dynamic team, focusing on the operation, control, and monitoring of heat treating furnaces and related equipment. This role requires preparation of customer-supplied parts for processing, adhering to written procedures on shop orders, and handling furnaces, bins, baskets, and fixtures. Responsibilities Operate, control, and monitor heat treating furnaces and related equipment. Prepare customer-supplied parts for processing. Follow written procedures on shop orders and/or customer paperwork. Load and unload furnaces, bins, baskets, and fixtures. Mask, paint, and sandblast customer-owned machined parts. Report any irregularities or non-conformances to the supervisor. Clean work areas, machines, and equipment. Promote safety and good housekeeping. Essential Skills 2+ years of Manufacturing Machine Operator experience. 1+ year of experience operating a forklift. Mechanical aptitude and general labor skills. Experience in material handling and loading/unloading trucks. Forklift operator certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs., bend, climb, stoop, and stand. Aptitude to learn basic knowledge of heat treating processes, testing, metallurgy, and temperatures. Must report for work on time, follow directions, and interact effectively with co-workers. The graveyard shift is 8pm - 6am, Mon - Thurs, with two paid 30-minute lunch breaks. Training will be on the day shift for approximately 6-8 weeks before transitioning to the graveyard shift. Candidates will enjoy 4/10-hour shifts with 3-day weekends. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Hayward, CA.
