Job Description

Company Overview Karem Aircraft is a developer and manufacturer of Unmanned Vehicles, Aircraft structures and composite components. Overview Our intelligent structures team is building low rate production, large carbon fiber infused structures complete with integrated sensors in a modern digital manufacturing facility. As a composite manufacturing technician you will be working with Dry fiber resin infusions, laminations, vacuum bags and process control computers. Job Summary Karem Aircraft is an aerospace manufacturing and development company. This work location specializes in advanced composites, resin injection, infusion processing, and molding applications for large structures.
Primary tasks will be:
  • Dry fabric lamination
  • Create vacuum bags and troubleshoot leaks
  • Trimming and drilling to scribe lines
  • Operating process equipment and following digital work instructions. Work hours are flexible, generally 5-6 in the morning to 2-3 in the afternoon. Health care plans are offered. Our team is small with a wide variety of skills and a strong work ethic; good teamwork skills and a desire to work hard are key traits we look for. Responsibilities and Duties
  • Lamination of composite material layers to specific locations following instructions
  • Creation of vacuum bags
  • for infusion, or autoclave cured parts
  • Trimming and drilling to scribe lines
  • using a die grinder, pencil grinder, sanding and drilling
  • Creating templates and cutting kits
  • using scissors, knives and templates
  • Mold preparation, resurfacing, sealing and cleaning. Qualifications and Skills
  • Two or more years work experience in composite lamination or trimming. Should be proficient in creation of vacuum bagging, and use of chromate tape.
  • Experience with infusion using dry fibers is a plus, but not necessary. Our team is small and fast-paced, we collaborate and share work towards our common goals. We offer continuous improvement and skills training so that our small team is highly capable and cross-trained. Benefits
