Full Job Description Job Summary :
Ensure product meets all Quality requirements, all jobs run with in cycle time with the specified labor and within the maximum amount of scrap per hour. Responsible to make sure operators follow the instructions for each job on the mold book. Ensure all operators take their breaks and lunch. Responsible to maintain a safe and clean work environment. Responsible for assisting Shift Supervisor with all production tasks.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities :
Assign operators to machines based on Supervisor's directive. Create a break and lunch schedule for relieving the operators. Be at your assigned area on time; take only the allowed time on breaks and lunch. Review the approved sample at the machine and the applicable DRFs for the parts you are running to have the appropriate quality acceptance criteria. Verify proper work attire and safety/protective equipment is being worn by the operator. Ensure cycle time and labor match what is on the production schedule. Verify that all operators understand and follow instructions in mold book. Make sure operator is doing visual inspections on one shot every hour by comparing them to the approved sample and keeping them as reference for the hr. Perform visual inspections of product quality in partial and full boxes based on the approved sample. If not in compliance, train operator. Verify weight scales accuracy when counting parts at start of shift. Verify operator is only separating defective parts, if the parts are acceptable, retrain the operator as needed. Make sure operator is using the approved sample. Ensure operator records the amount of defective parts and defects on the Reject Log. Report to supervisor every time that the scrap is more than allowed. Make sure operator is packaging product according to Instructions. Verify proper completion of documents by operator, e.g. reject & production logs. Perform ongoing job specific training for operators as required. Do not stay in a workstation for more than 15 min as other stations require monitoring. Inspect for parts on the floor. No parts should be on the floor. Regardless of the cause, if parts are found, document and report to supervisor. Verify accepted/rejected parts and perform proper production reporting in IQMS . Make sure break and lunch schedule is being followed. Print labels as per work instructions. Verify Line Clearance on every machine when job ends, this includes returning approved samples, tools and documentation to the corresponding locations. Make sure operators maintain a clean and safe work area through out the shift. Follow all safety rules and guidelines. Report any unsafe condition or practice. Document and report all non-conformances to the supervisor, he must sign as acknowledged. Conduct a walk through with next shift's lead. Ensure all overtime greater than 15 minutes is authorized and signed off by Production Manager. Present a professional image and conduct yourself in a professional manner during all work operations. Lead by example.

Physical Demands :
Light to moderate physical effort required. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds. Regularly required to sit, walk or stand.
Personal & Protective Equipment:
Safety Glasses must be worn at all times. When working with a HEPA Cell, wear: hair net, powder free vinyl gloves, nose and mouth covers & smock. You are not allowed to bring in to the production area: ear rings, rings, watches, cell-phones, pens, necklaces, or items in your pockets, or anything that might fall in to a production box.
Work Environment:
Work performed in a Manufacturing environment.
