Job Description:
This position is Non-Exempt. Hours over 40 will be paid at Time and a Half. Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing medical device manufacturing equipment, supporting production issues, assisting with the installation and qualification of production equipment, assisting with equipment maintenance. Takes direction from Engineering Manager, Manufacturing Supervisor or higher. Needs prior 3-5 years experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment and electronic devices down to component level.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubles shoots and repairs equipment following ISO/GMP published procedures; Uses schematics, scopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools to adjust, repair, maintain, and test electronic equipment. Assist with installation and qualification of production equipment; Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment; Assist with any necessary department responsibilities; Follow established safety procedures and perform duties in a safe manner. Other activities as requested or required by the Company.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent. 3 years minimum experience in a related field preferred
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Medical device manufacturing experience and ISO/GMP training an advantage. Experience with Welders, Grinders, Lathes, Mills, Ovens & Lasers. Knowledge of Omron Controllers and other IO relays. Knowledge of Microsoft based computer software programs. Must be a team player. Good attention to detail. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to sit/stand for 2 to 3 hours at a time.
