Job Description

The Service and Repair Technician is responsible for servicing or repairing customers' equipment at customers' location or in the Kirby Manufacturing shop. This position requires occasional weekend and evenings shifts to provide exceptional service to our valued customer. (On-Call weekend and evening shifts are scheduled via a rotation schedule) Their primary goal is to ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently to assure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities and Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Clean DMV Record -Submit with application Read and understand blueprints Recording job times on a timecard Knowledge of (welding, handheld plasma cutter, cutting torch, mechanics, pneumatic hand tools, hydraulics, auto electrical) Read and understand schematics Trouble shooting equipment Removing and replacing equipment components Driving to and from a work site in company vehicle Servicing or repairing customers equipment at customers location or in shop Keeping service vehicle clean, serviced and stocked On call service, nights and weekends Keeping welders, machines and surrounding areas clean and free of debris Returning tools to their proper storage area when not in use and at the end of shift Inspect equipment in use, checking for any problems and reporting or repairing them to prevent breakdowns Handling of hazardous materials such as change used oil, oil filters, clean oil spills, and disposal of aerosol cans Wearing proper safety equipment as required Pass along all safety information or warnings to other employees Report any safety hazards or violations to your lead man Other duties include but are not limited to: Forklift driving Assisting other work centers as necessary as workload shifts Assist in special projects from time to time for customers Assisting other departments or staff as necessary Keeping the outside and surrounding area cleaned up / weed free on an as needed basis
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and noise

$18.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
