Job Description
Description Set up and operate assigned production equipment to assemble electronic and mechanical components onto circuit boards using both automated and manual placement techniques. Monitor equipment performance to ensure assemblies meet quality standards, build-to-print requirements, and production goals. Maintain process control through inspection, troubleshooting, and continuous monitoring to support efficiency, productivity, and product reliability. Duties and Responsibilities Apply basic to intermediate skills to execute established procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment within the assigned work area. Set up and operate continuous flow SMT production lines with a focus on maximizing output and minimizing waste. Take ownership of assigned production lines during the shift, ensuring efficient operation, quality output, and adherence to safety and productivity standards. Monitor equipment performance, identify issues, and perform routine troubleshooting and adjustments to maintain optimal operation. Escalate complex issues to leadership, maintenance, or engineering as needed. Perform quality checks and audits to ensure assemblies meet specifications and workmanship standards. Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, schematics, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation. Set up and operate equipment using both automated systems and manual placement techniques. Identify and apply appropriate solder paste types using proper handling and safety practices. Use hand tools and measurement devices (e.g., calipers) to support assembly and verification tasks. Maintain accuracy and attention to detail to ensure high-quality production output. Support inventory control by managing materials and supplies required for production and basic maintenance tasks. Collaborate with leadership, maintenance, and quality teams to support production goals and continuous improvement efforts. Education and Experience Experience working in manufacturing, production, or assembly preferred but not required Basic computer literacy and comfortable using technology like computers or tablets Good hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail Able to multitask and stay focused in a busy, fast-paced environment A team player with good communication skills Willingness to learn new technologies and product builds Dependable and on time Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required Prior manufacturing experience preferred but not required Physical demands and abilities Able to lift up to 35 pounds Regularly performs repetitive tasks Able to stand for entire shift Regularly possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
