OVERVIEW
Production Technicians are key members of the Production Team responsible for assembling, testing, and preparing Quantum systems for customers around the world. This role involves working with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components while ensuring all products meet established quality standards and specifications. Technicians develop expertise across all areas of the production process and play an important role in delivering reliable, high-quality products in a timely manner. Technicians collaborate closely with the Engineering Team to ensure equipment is built to industry standards, while also partnering with other departments to troubleshoot production challenges and support process improvements. DUTIES Strictly adheres to all regulatory requirements, health and safety (e.g., OSHA) requirements, procedures, work instructions, and company policies. Inspect materials prior to assembly for paint, fabrication, and vendor quality Review assembly requirements, drawings and parts to ensure the job is ready for production. Assembly of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment on the production floor using provided assembly and engineering drawings. Follow strict quality control and safety procedures during assembly of production equipment. Identifying problems during production assembly and report issues. Communicate production challenges via in person meetings, and company portals such as email, Share Point, Microsoft Teams… Prepare assembled equipment for testing. Assist with testing and inspection after assembly. Complete assembly and testing documents as required Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and properly. Maintain tools in safe operating conditions as well as report on any tools requiring maintenance or replacement. Clean, organized, and maintain assigned individual toolboxes. Clean and organize the production floor on a daily basis. Any and all duties as reasonably assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE
High school diploma or GED is required. Knowledge and experience with common hand tools and power tools is required. 1+ years of electrical experience or related work experience is required. Experience with electrical test equipment such as voltage meters and current meters is required. Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) is required.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
Highly organized with good time management skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Proactive and collaborative attitude with the ability to work well with all levels of company employees, customers, vendors, and suppliers. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and technicians. Ability to apply electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic concepts, define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret a variety of technical documents, diagrams, and drawings (e.g., hydraulic schematics, AutoCAD drawings). TRAVEL This position may require occasional local travel within driving distance. The ability and willingness to travel is required. A valid driver's license is required for this role.
WORK HOURS
The employee is expected to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This position requires a 40-hour work week.
