Position Summary The Engineering and Manufacturing Technician is an experienced hands-on role responsible for supporting the manufacturing, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies and circuit boards used in defense and aerospace applications. This position works closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues, improve processes, and ensure products meet strict reliability and quality standards. This is a hands-on technical position working directly with electronics and test equipment. We are looking for someone with a practical engineering mindset who can work independently, take ownership, and make a meaningful contribution to our small business. No college degree is required; demonstrated technical ability and relevant hands-on experience are what matter. Key Responsibilities Technical Support Provide experienced technical support for electronics manufacturing and testing operations. Share troubleshooting knowledge and best practices with the team. Provide hands-on support to engineering, production, and quality teams. Help drive technical problem solving and continuous improvement across the shop floor. Circuit Board Troubleshooting & Repair Troubleshoot and repair electronic assemblies and PCB assemblies to the component level. Perform SMT and through-hole soldering, rework, and board modifications. Read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PCB layouts, and written work instructions. Modify circuit boards using jumpers, trace repair, and component replacement when required. Testing & Validation Independently set up and perform electrical and functional testing using equipment including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, pressure transducers, accelerometers, and other electrical and electromechanical test fixtures. Analyze test results to identify issues and recommend corrective actions. Support development and setup of test equipment, fixtures, and validation procedures. Production Support Work closely with production teams to support manufacturing builds and resolve technical issues. Assist engineering teams with prototype builds, product improvements, and validation activities. Support configuration control and engineering revision management. Perform hands-on mechanical assembly and use shop tools to support production builds. Support laser marking and engraving operations as needed. Inventory Control & Organization Maintain an organized work environment including tools, fixtures, and test equipment. Support inventory organization of electronic components and test equipment. Ensure materials, parts, and tools remain traceable and audit-ready in accordance with quality procedures. Support ESD handling practices and proper storage of sensitive electronic components. Compliance & Documentation Maintain accurate troubleshooting, repair, and testing records. Support quality initiatives and compliance with industry standards. Assist with internal and external audits when required. Use quality inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and magnification equipment, to check dimensions and workmanship. Identify and report defects, discrepancies, and nonconforming material. Qualifications Required Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in electronics manufacturing, assembly, troubleshooting, or testing. Current or previous

certification required; certification does not need to be active. Strong hands-on troubleshooting ability and practical technical or engineering experience. Experience with SMT and through-hole soldering and rework. Ability to independently read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and written work instructions. Ability to independently set up and use electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters, follow test procedures, and interpret results. Proficiency using hand tools and quality inspection and measuring tools. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accurate documentation. Must currently live within driving distance of our Largo facility and be able to commute regularly. U.S. citizenship required due to requirements of the contracts supported by this position. No college degree required. Preferred Experience working in Department of Defense (DoD), aerospace, or FAA-regulated manufacturing environments. Experience working within AS9100 quality environments and familiarity with applicable MIL standards. Quality inspection background. Familiarity with laser operations Familiarity with programming languages. Experience using ERP systems for work orders, inventory, and production records. Additional IPC certifications such as IPC-A-610 or

IPC-7711/7721.

Compensation & Benefits Hourly Pay Range:

$20-$27 per hour depending on experience and qualifications, with flexibility for the right candidate.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, ideally 9 a.m.-5 p.m., with reasonable flexibility in start and end times. Overtime opportunities may be available depending on program needs.
