PPS focuses on cutting-edge energy solutions for theaerospace, defense, and medical industries. - Lead manufacturing technicians effectively and respectfully, fostering a positive and accountable team culture
- Coordinate daily production activities, define assignments, and ensure alignment with schedules and priorities
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to confirm material readiness and support production flow
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks; escalate engineering or quality concerns when appropriate
- Create planning and progress visuals for team use and management reporting
- Communicate schedule risks and status updates to leadership
- Train and mentor manufacturing technicians, ensuring crosstraining coverage across production functions
- Monitor timecards, review PTO requests, and support performance reviews for direct reports
- Promote operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices
- Ensure compliance with workmanship standards, quality requirements, and AS9100 traceability practices
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety across workspaces
- Support production through handson soldering, assembly, testing, and inspection of prototypes and released products
- Fill in for absent personnel to maintain production schedules
- Assist in creating SOPs, test procedures, and safety procedures
- Perform troubleshooting, rootcause identification, rework, and repair
- Conduct basic PCBA troubleshooting and complex electromechanical assembly troubleshooting
- Execute verbal instructions clearly and consistently
- Deliver work that requires minimal rework and is completed in a timely manner
- Lead with humility and serviceoriented mindset; build trust and retention through strong team engagement
- Other duties as assigned Qualifications Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent relevant experience
- Prior experience leading, coordinating, or mentoring technicians
- Leads by example and demonstrates respect across all roles
- Ability to challenge ideas and make difficult decisions professionally
- Takes responsibility for mistakes and shares credit for team success
- Highly organized with strong decisionmaking skills
- Expert knowledge of IPC610 soldering standards and practices
- Skilled in complex electromechanical troubleshooting
- Basic troubleshooting of PCBAs/CCAs
- Ability to read and understand schematics
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fastpaced production environment
- Willingness to remain handson with daily operations Preferred Qualifications
- Active IPC610 or IPC620 certification
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, data loggers, thermal chambers, and microscopes
