Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Packaging & Production Equipment Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize a variety of manufacturing and packaging equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, experienced with automated packaging machinery, and capable of independently diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and operational issues. Hands-on experience with gummy production or packaging equipment is highly preferred. Equipment Experience Candidates should have experience with some or all of the following: Gummy manufacturing and packaging machines Powder sachet / stick-pack machines Vape printing and packaging machines Liquid pouch filling and sealing machines Bag filling and sealing machines Jar filling and capping machines Labeling, coding, printing, and date/lot coding equipment Conveyors and other automated packaging equipment Responsibilities Diagnose and repair packaging and production machinery Perform preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, sensor, and control-related issues Set up, adjust, calibrate, and change over equipment for different products Reduce machine downtime and identify recurring equipment problems Replace worn or damaged machine components Assist production personnel with equipment operation and troubleshooting Work with equipment manufacturers and technical support when necessary Maintain maintenance and repair records Recommend equipment improvements, replacement parts, and preventative maintenance schedules Ensure machinery operates safely, efficiently, and consistently Qualifications Previous experience repairing or maintaining packaging, filling, or manufacturing equipment Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Understanding of motors, sensors, pneumatics, pumps, conveyors, filling systems, and sealing systems Basic electrical troubleshooting experience Ability to read equipment manuals, diagrams, and schematics Ability to diagnose problems independently and complete repairs with minimal supervision Experience with multiple types of automated packaging equipment strongly preferred Experience with gummy equipment, sachet machines, pouch machines, vape printing equipment, or filling equipment is a major plus
