Job Description

The Compression Shop Operator is responsible for manufacturing and assembling compression connectors and electrical power components used in high-voltage substations. This role involves operating production equipment, performing quality inspections, handling materials, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. SEFCOR manufactures electrical power connectors and compression fittings for the utility industry.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate compression presses, drills, saws, and other production equipment.
  • Assemble and fabricate compression connectors according to specifications.
  • Read work orders, blueprints, and production schedules.
  • Perform quality inspections using measuring tools and gauges.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished products.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Assist with packaging and shipping preparation as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
  • Ability to read measuring devices and follow written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
