Manufacturing Technician / Project Lead The Manufacturing Technician / Project Lead is a working lead role primarily responsible for supporting small facility project work and supporting different departments in organizing project related activities in support of facility operations. This role will engage multiple project owners, departments and leaders to help organize both administrative and functional project activities. Key Responsibilities Organize, schedule and support facility level project work across the Griffin campus. Coordinate and sequence project activities to maintain smooth project flow and optimum efficiency; track project key dates and deadlines while also communicating with responsible action item owners. Perform documentation and tracking of multiple project activities. Monitor project activities and key dates. Support, initiate, and sustain change as directed; promote continuous improvement and adaptability to new processes. Assist project lead in maintaining documents relating to projects. Work with multiple departments and different levels of leadership within Griffin campus. Maintain an organized, safe, and values first approach when executing work activities and supporting project leads. Communicate effectively with hourly employees, support staff, and management to address priorities, constraints, and escalation items. Help positively influence and motivate the team through a strong commitment to core values (integrity, excellence, teamwork, commitment, and sustainability). Required Qualifications Ability to organize and maintain records across multiple inputs. Demonstrated proficiency using computer programs related to project management (Excel, Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint) Ability to organize data and maintain information across multiple projects and/or departments. Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with various levels of staff and management. Strong leadership skills; ability to work with others, solve problems, and positively influence a team. General understanding of production processes and requirements. Must be willing to work overtime, night shift, or on assembly if needed. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated adaptability and ability to learn new processes quickly. Experience using computer programs as noted above. Well organized with demonstrated ability to take multiple inputs while also maintaining organization of each project. Working Conditions Office/Cubicle. Shopfloor and/or factory/warehouse environment.
Summary Pay Range:
$25.08 - $32.56 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
