Job Description

Production Technician Provides production support. May perform minor equipment adjustments Day shift i.e. 7am
  • 3:30pm/5:30pm/7:30pm, Monday Friday, occassional Saturday and/or Sunday 5
  • 10%, Mid shift i.e. 3pm
  • 11:30pm/1:30am, Monday Friday, occassional Saturday and/or Sunday
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate machinery and equipment in production areas. Move and organize materials within the production area. Maintain a clean and orderly production environment. Adhere to company and client policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Knowledge of production agriculture and production plant operations Ability to safely perform duties in timely fashion while maintaining seed quality Ability to work independently or with a team Ability to adjust to changing conditions and anticipate needs Ability to make independent decisions
QUALIFICATIONS/BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
Pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings Have reliable transportation to the site and be able to arrive at the work site as instructed Maintain enthusiasm, good attitude, honesty and a willingness to treat all with respect Ability to work long hours and rotational shifts, including over-time as needed; Ability to communicate verbally and written Ability to lift, push, pull up to 60 pounds, work in and outdoors, walk on uneven surfaces Able to wear all the required PPE. Coveralls (cotton or fire-resistant) Ear plugs Full-face respirator (occasionally) Gloves Hard Hat Safety glasses or side shields for people that wear glasses. Steel toe shoes Additional PPE (Tychem or Tyvek) which would include.
Apron, Face Shield, Gloves, Sleeves Additional Duties:
Monitors and operates equipment and facilities, ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures. Maintains safety standards at all times and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary.
