Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Biomanufacturing Technician for a contract opportunity in Ames, IA. This role supports warehouse, material handling, and laboratory production activities in a USDA-licensed biomanufacturing environment focused on veterinary biological and RNA particle vaccine products. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented production or lab professional who enjoys hands-on work, regulated environments, and contributing to important biological manufacturing processes. The team environment is collaborative, safety-focused, and quality-driven, with supportive leadership, structured procedures, and opportunities to build practical experience in aseptic production, inventory support, and vaccine manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform warehouse and material handling duties, including unloading trucks, moving materials, picking and putting away products, cycle counts, and staging materials for shipping and production.
  • Maintain in-process inventory by delivering, organizing, and restocking supplies in production and laboratory work areas.
  • Support laboratory production processes, including blending, filling, formulation, media preparation, and RNA vaccine production activities.
  • Perform aseptic techniques such as pipetting, pouring media, maintaining sterile conditions, and supporting cell culture processes.
  • Assist with Vero cell line maintenance, electroporation support, harvest processes, and related production tasks.
  • Maintain accurate production records, training logs, and documentation while following safety, quality, PPE, and regulatory requirements. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay rate: $20 per hour.
  • Job type: Contract/temporary.
  • Schedule:
    Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with Friday mornings as needed to reach 40 hours per week.
