About CMR Critical Materials Recycling, Inc. (CMR) recycles Rare Earth Elements from end-of-life hard disk drives, wind turbines, and electric vehicles using a patented, environmentally benign process. We are an operational, early-stage technology company in active expansion. This is a ground-floor opportunity to join a small, focused team doing work that matters. Position Summary CMR is hiring a Second Shift Manufacturing Technician to support daily production operations at our Boone, Iowa facility. You will work directly with process equipment to produce high-purity rare earth oxide, following established work instructions, safety protocols, and quality standards. You will report to the COO and work closely with the production team each shift. No prior rare earth experience is required — we will train the right candidate. Responsibilities Operate and monitor process equipment including tanks, pumps, conveyors, filtration systems, and tumblers to meet daily production goals Follow work instructions, safety protocols, and quality standards at all times Perform routine equipment checks and report issues promptly to keep production running smoothly Document production data accurately and report any deviations or quality concerns to your supervisor Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Support continuous improvement efforts on the production floor Qualifications Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred; we will train the right candidate Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools Ability to read and follow written work instructions Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work Ability to work second shift: 2:15 PM-10:45 PM, Monday-Friday High school diploma or equivalent required Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen Benefits $22.50/hour + shift differential Health, dental, vision, and life insurance (eligible after 90 days) 401(k) with company matching Paid time off, prorated to start date Paid holidays
