Job Description

Job Summary The Welding Manufacturing Technician performs fitting, assembly, and welding operations to build weldments, sub‑assemblies, and machine components used in striping equipment production. This role may also support additional shop functions such as painting, wiring, sanding, and finishing as needed. Responsibilities Use hand tools, grinders, and related equipment to prepare and finish workpieces Set up and operate oxy‑acetylene cutting equipment Position, align, fit, and weld components according to specifications Verify workpiece conformance using measurements, drawings, and inspection tools Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components and structural parts Tack, clamp, and secure parts in preparation for welding Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling components Interpret complex instructions, drawings, specifications, and blueprints Perform MIG and TIG welding, selecting proper rods, flux, and machine settings Support mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, or paint‑plumbing assembly tasks as needed Core Competencies Strong communication and teamwork skills Mechanically inclined with interest in troubleshooting Ability to multitask in a production environment Solid understanding of welding and fabrication fundamentals Reliable Qualification & Education Requirements Minimum 1 year of machining or related shop experience Hands‑on experience with saws, benders, milling machines, mechanical assembly, and striping equipment At least 2 years of MIG and TIG welding experience An Equal Opportunity Employer Pre-Employment Drug Testing Required.
