Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Robot Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining robotic systems used in the fabrication and welding of trailer components. This role is vital to ensuring high quality, efficient, and safe production.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Operate and oversee robotic welding and fabrication systems. Load and unload trailer components or assemblies into robot fixtures. Monitor robot performance and part quality; make adjustments to programs or machine settings as needed. Conduct routine inspections to ensure welds and fabrications meet company and industry standards. Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on robotic equipment such as checking sensors, cleaning nozzles, replacing tips, etc. Work closely with welders, engineers, and quality control to ensure product accuracy and safety. Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and welding symbols. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Document production output and report malfunctions or safety issues to supervisors. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Able to work safely and follow all safety rules Ability to accurately read a tape measure Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and welding symbols. Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in robot operations. Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and or carry up to 50 pounds at times. Ability to stand, walk, and move around the manufacturing area for extended periods. Must be able to bend at the waist, kneel, and squat, walk, climb up and down ladders/scaffolding, stoop, push, pull and/or carry materials. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Must be able to work in hot or cold environments. Must be able to work in indoor or outdoor environments. May be exposed to welding, grinding, paint fumes, and machinery noise.
