Sterling Engineering is partnered with a growing manufacturing organization seeking a Production Technician to join their team in Addison, IL. This is a hands-on opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment and take pride in producing high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing or warehouse experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely and efficiently as part of a team.
Responsibilities :
Operate production machinery and equipment, including pneumatic presses, wire cutters, and spoolers. Perform assembly and production tasks using hand tools and power tools. Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met and report any defects or concerns. Support material movement throughout the facility and assist with inventory handling activities. Operate forklifts as needed to transport materials and finished goods. Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following company policies and procedures. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications :
Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, factory, or warehouse environment required. Familiarity with assembly line processes and manufacturing operations. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and troubleshoot basic equipment issues. Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus but not required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
