You dial in the feeder, thread the glue, tune the plow plates, and verify compression. Quality stations come online, computer‑controlled inspection starts logging data, and the first cartons leave the pack station crisp, square, and on spec. What you'll do Independently set up the folding-gluer: feeder, glue system, plow/fold plates, compression, pack station, and inline quality inspection. Run production to spec by controlling folding sequence, glue application, paperboard thickness, and scoring alignment. Configure and operate automated/computer‑controlled inspection systems to assure quality. Continuously monitor output; make real‑time adjustments to maintain accuracy and product integrity. Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor mechanical repairs. Interpret job tickets, confirm schedules, track counts, and maintain accurate inventory. Clean down equipment and keep the work area organized and safe after each run. Follow all safety procedures and model continuous improvement behaviors. What makes you a great fit Previous experience as a Folding Gluer Operator in printing, packaging, or folding cartons (preferred). Hands‑on time with Bobst or similar folding-gluer equipment (highly preferred). Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot process and quality issues. Working knowledge of glue systems, scoring, folding sequences, and carton construction. Ability to read job tickets and layouts; proficiency with calipers, rulers, and gauges. Solid math skills for measurements and conversions. Strong attention to detail; clear communication and teamwork. Comfort in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. High school diploma or equivalent.
