Burn Table Operator Job Description As a Burn Table Operator, you will complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is set up, used, and left in a safe and clean manner. You will also alert Maintenance of any anticipated repair needs. Your role involves programming, operating, and maintaining plasma and oxy-fuel burntables. Additionally, you will ensure that parts are directed to the appropriate area and properly labeled. Effective utilization of all raw materials, particularly steel plates, is crucial. You will operate overhead cranes and forklifts and record production and inspection activities in a computer-based business system/program. program. Essential Skills Proficiency in plasma cutting, burn table, laser cutter, laser welding, fabrication, and mechanical assembly. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics. Strong mechanical aptitude. 2+ years of fabrication machine operation experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with blueprint reading is advantageous. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work in a large equipment manufacturing shop that operates from 5:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, and from 5:00am to 11:00am on Saturdays. Standard working hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm, with current staff working 50 to 55 hours per week due to high demand. We aim to reduce these hours by expanding our team. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Crystal Lake, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $58240.00/yr.
