Wash Technician

Overview:

The Wash Technician is responsible for cleaning, preparing, and maintaining components and assemblies to meet company quality standards. This role supports production by ensuring all parts are free of contaminants prior to assembly, inspection, or shipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and wash metal and manufactured components using designated equipment, solvents, and processesInspect parts for cleanliness, defects, and damage prior to release to the next production stageOperate and maintain wash systems, including parts washers, tanks, and drying equipmentFollow all safety procedures related to chemical handling and equipment useProperly label, organize, and transport cleaned parts within the facilityMonitor and maintain fluid levels, filtration systems, and waste disposal processesComplete required documentation and maintain accurate records of work performedSupport general shop cleanliness and 5S initiativesAssist other production or warehouse functions as needed

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment is a plusAbility to follow detailed instructions and work independentlyStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityBasic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand toolsAbility to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periodsWork EnvironmentIndustrial/manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and cleaning chemicalsRequired use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing
