We are hiring for a world leader of metal processing products that provides customized metal solutions for projects and large corporations all across the country. We are looking to hire a production line technician to assist in running state of their state of art metal processing machines to increase production tonnage while offering the highest quality product available and maximum efficiency. This is a 3rd shift position. Mon - Thurs 7:40pm - 6:00am OT is available. They are currently working 1 hour of OT each day and starting at 6:40pm.

Responsibilities include:

Operate metal packaging equipment Packaging, banding, packing, work order completion, skid handling Use forklift or crane to move skids and coils of metal to storage area Use computer system to tag materials, relieve inventory Setting up, operating, or helping to maintain a leveling, slitting, or production line Load & unload coils of metal Build skids or pallets Pulling and staging feedstock for production orders Ability to calibrate measuring equipment Feedstock material inspection to ensure quality specifications Cut to Length machine set-up, slit coil processing production & processing Daily machine operation Part inspection to ensure quality specifications Packaging of material to customer requirements Scrap management of remnants and efficient scrap utilization Work order confirmation on computer Stage material for shipping Operating an overhead crane to move material as needed Operating a forklift or side loader to move material as needed Carrying/moving supplies as needed Maximum productivity for finished goods creation Other miscellaneous duties as directed by supervision.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in banding, forklift, packaging, machine operation, mechanics, or in metal processing facility, cut to length lines, slitters, crane operator, forklift operator or familiar with other warehouse equipment Proven experience in manufacturing , packaging, shipping, or related industrial position. Ability to handle physical workload Full-Time with top benefits
