Production and Industrial - Packaging/Labeling Technician I#26-15616 Rockford, IL Onsite Job Description
Position Summary:
An entry level manufacturing position in an ISO certified environment that supports processing of OEM antibodies and other immunoassay products. At this level, the associate will be expected to learn and maintain proficiency in receiving and packaging processes and move between these key roles to meet product demands.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand and follow: o Safe lab practices o Good documentation practices. The associate is expected to maintain detailed documentation and implement updates in support of ISO requirements
  • Commit to producing and maintaining the highest standard of quality in antibody processing
  • Drive continuous growth through training and participation in systems such as: 5S, Lean and Practical Process Improvement
  • Ensure on-time delivery of production work and projects
  • Process products as a key member of an integrated manufacturing and quality team
  • Perform with assistance of incoming specifications, standard work instructions, operating procedures or shadowing with a trained associate:
  • Product Receiving o Receive goods into the company inventory management system o Manage products, paperwork and vendor information to maintain traceability and avoid mix-ups
  • Product Packaging and Disposition o Print finished good labels and verify their accuracy o Relabel finished good antibody products o Perform finished good packaging of antibody products o Put antibody products to stock using company inventory management system o Maintain accurate inventory with all transactions
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Minimum of High school diploma or GED required
Possess:
o Ability to perform basic scientific calculations o Ability to be detail oriented and accurate o Strong organization skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines o Proficiency with intermediate PC applications - ability to use inventory management system, receiving, and label software. o Basic mechanical aptitude o Good verbal and written communication skills
    Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment when required
    • Able to sit/stand/walk regularly
    • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
