Manufacturing Technician Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Technician, where you will play a crucial role in assembling and inspecting lithium-ion battery packs and related components. You will contribute to the production line installation, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Responsibilities Assemble lithium-ion battery packs, modules, and power-electronics sub-assemblies. Perform electrical, functional, and visual inspections on components and finished products. Assist with production line installation and workstation setup as needed. Use hand tools, soldering equipment, and test equipment such as multimeters and power supplies. Identify and report defects, test failures, safety concerns, or process issues. Accurately complete production and quality documentation. Maintain a clean, safe, and ESD-controlled work area. Essential Skills Electrical assembly Troubleshooting Mechanical aptitude Experience in production and assembly Proficiency in electrical and electronics work Soldering Ability to read electrical schematics Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 3+ years of experience in electronics or manufacturing preferred Experience with soldering, wiring, ESD controls, and electrical testing preferred Knowledge of lithium-ion battery handling and safety practices is a plus Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality Work Environment Work in a team-oriented environment where safety and quality are prioritized. Utilize state-of-the-art tools and equipment, including multimeters and power supplies, in an ESD-controlled setting. Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to the highest standards of safety and quality. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Romeoville, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
