Job Description

Overview Symbria Rx Services is seeking a Full-Time Lead Pharmacy Production Technician to add to our growing team at our Pharmacy located in Woodrige, IL! Our advanced automated packaging systems not only save time and enhance accuracy but also minimize waste and promote medication adherence across all healthcare settings. Automation Pharmacy Technicians are core to the Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy model, supporting automated workflows which free pharmacists to focus on clinical care. Symbria Automation Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacist in the preparation of medications for distribution to LTC communities based on physician orders, achieved by following departmental policies and procedures within the scope of pharmacy standards.
Working Hours:
Monday through Friday, 2:00pm to 10:30pm. Responsibilities Assists the pharmacist(s) on duty as their primary responsibility; performing these duties as priority. Fills orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist. Develops knowledge of pharmacy policies and procedures and complies with them. Any and all duties as assigned by pharmacists or managers.
Duties:
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot pharmacy automated packaging systems. Manage inventory, restock meds, monitor system usage, and recommend items/formulary adjustment within the automated packaging systems. Perform quality assurance checks on medication strips and correct any machine or user errors. Organize medication strips in clients' communities according to their specifications. Monitor and maintain consumables for automated packaging systems. Meet daily deadlines of scheduled medication deliveries. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily is necessary and the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Knowledge of business English, spelling and commercial arithmetic with ability to write in a clear and legible manner. Professional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions. General computer knowledge including Windows applications. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a flexible schedule as operational needs dictate, including nights, weekends, and holidayQualifications preferred: Pharmacy experience; minimum one year. Why work for us?
