12-Week Contract-to-Hire | Full-Time | 1st Shift Job Summary MS Companies is seeking two detail-oriented Bench Mechanics for a growing aerospace manufacturing and repair operation in Franklin, IN. This is a 12-week contract-to-hire opportunity supporting a high-mix, low-volume FAA-regulated environment. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, take pride in precision work, and value safety and quality standards. Candidates with aerospace or FAA repair station experience will be highly competitive, particularly at the upper end of the pay range. This position offers long-term potential with a stable and expanding aerospace operation. Required Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass FAA drug screen and federal background check
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Strong attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to follow detailed routing instructions and quality standards
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Direct aerospace or FAA repair station experience
  • Experience performing pressure testing on tubes, ducts, or manifolds
  • Experience with bead blasting, polishing, or metal finishing
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and approved technical data
  • Familiarity with quality inspection processes
  • Experience working with hand tools in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • FAA A&P certification (strong plus) Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Operate product clean line processes
  • Perform air and water pressure testing on tubes, ducts, and manifolds
  • Bead blast components as required
  • Conduct in-process visual inspections using check fixtures
  • Perform polishing and basic blending of metal components
  • Ensure products meet quality and engineering routing standards
  • Properly label, store, and handle hazardous materials
  • Assist with packaging and shipping during peak production periods
  • Serve as backup for local part deliveries using company vehicle
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety-first practices Physical and Environment Requirements Physical expectations and working conditions associated with the job may include standing, walking, or moving throughout the facility for extended periods, lifting up to 25 lbs.
