We are currently seeking a Production Technician Level I to join our team at our Avon, Indiana facility. This position is ideal for a technically minded individual who takes pride in quality, enjoys troubleshooting, and works well in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Job Summary The Production Technician Level I is responsible for performing timely computer and component repairs to meet production schedules and customer requirements while ensuring all work adheres to established quality and performance standards. This role involves accurately documenting repair processes, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and collaborating with team members to identify recurring failures and support continuous improvement initiatives. Duties & Responsibilities Perform computer and component repairs promptly to meet production schedules and customer requirements. Maintain a Quality First attitude by ensuring all repairs meet defined quality and performance standards. Accurately document each step of the repair process, including components replaced, in the shop floor system or designated tracking software. Follow standardized work practices, repair procedures, and ESD (electrostatic discharge) guidelines. Handle electronic components carefully to prevent physical or electrostatic damage. Communicate repair findings, issues, and concerns with assembly line personnel and supervisors to help prevent repeat failures. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues using appropriate testing equipment and diagnostic tools. Assist in identifying root causes of recurring failures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with 5S practices and company safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.
