Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC and automated drill line equipment used in metal fabrication processes. Load, position, and secure structural steel, plate, or other materials for drilling operations. Read and interpret production schedules, work orders, blueprints, and fabrication drawings. Verify material specifications, dimensions, and hole locations prior to processing. Perform machine setup adjustments, tooling changes, and routine calibrations as required. Monitor machine performance and make operational adjustments to maintain quality and productivity standards. Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications. Use measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, squares, and gauges to verify quality. Identify and report equipment malfunctions, tooling issues, or material defects to supervisors or maintenance personnel. Perform routine preventive maintenance and maintain equipment cleanliness. Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company policies. Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation. Coordinate with material handlers, fitters, welders, and other fabrication personnel to support workflow efficiency. Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage and maintain traceability. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with housekeeping and safety standards. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
