Job Description:
Job Description Position Purpose:
Support the
CNC & HT
processes in the facility, troubleshoot and assist in problem isolation and solution. Provide back-up weld/robotic welding & forming support as required.
Essential Functions:
Apply concepts and details of gauging, fixtures and tooling to assist in problem solving. Identify areas in which tooling, cleanliness, operation sequences, or forming consistency can be improved in order to increase throughput or product quality. Help in maintaining and controlling part programs for all machining areas. When necessary, help to evaluate existing tooling and fixturing to determine optimum method of repair or improvement. Provide support to production associates as they assume greater responsibility in manufacturing functions.
Education and Training:
Five to seven years' experience in manufacturing facility.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to interpret prints sketches, verbal instructions, and mathematical data to identify tooling, gauging and fixturing. Excellent mechanical aptitude. Formal training in robotics systems, CNC controls, machining, and SPC. AutoCAD experience a plus. Evaluate tooling and fixturing to determine optimum method of repair or improvement. PLC programming knowledge. Shift flexibility is a must. FANUC Robotics background preferred. Welding Experience is a plus
Physical Demands:
Constant standing, walking, reaching, balancing, cervical spine motion, lower extremities, and simple grasp Frequent use of firm grasping, fine manipulation, and pitching Occasional forward bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs including machine parts, parts boxes, equipment, and tool bag.

Ventilation:
Adequate. There is welding smoke from the process that is visible in the air.
