Job Description

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for an Onsite position with a Global Life Sciences Technology Company located in Tewksbury, MA. This is a 12-month contract opportunity. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will assemble instrument components, sub-components, and electro-mechanical assemblies for world-class chemical analyzers. This role involves soldering, fitting, mounting, alignment, adjusting, and repairing products. You will join a team dedicated to enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Responsibilities:
Assemble and conduct basic functional testing on a variety of electrical and mechanical parts and sub-assemblies using work instructions Participate as an active member of the production cell, supporting inventory and equipment management Participate in daily team stand-up meetings, communicating daily challenges and ideas Adhere to and promote regulatory requirements such as Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), work area cleanliness, and equipment calibration Contribute to and lead improvement events (such as Kaizen, 5S, Practical Process Improvement) Build working relationships with co-workers, including employees in other departments Perform transactions in Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) system Maintain a safe working environment, following established 5S organizational procedures Rework and reassemble units based on verbal or written instructions
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting, or related field Ability to work independently and with a team, acting as a self-starter Comfortable using computers to input and process information Ability to adhere to ISO9000 requirements, including ESD and clean work area environments Prolonged periods of sitting required, use of a microscope, and good eye/hand coordination Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unaided Desired skills: Soldering experience Detail-oriented Familiar with Microsoft suite Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts Pay range: up to $24.00 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) employees will be considered for this position.
