Manufacturing Engineering Technician I The Panther Group Inc - 3.2 West Boylston, MA Job Details Temp-to-hire $24 - $29 an hour 16 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Manufacturing Engineering Technician I We re hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for our client in the West Boylston, MA, area. This person will be responsible for assisting Manufacturing Engineers in executing daily manufacturing engineering activities in support of manufacturing operations within established quality systems, FDA regulations, and ISO standards. This individual may serve as an internal technical resource supporting assigned manufacturing work cells. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will review, edit, and enter technical documentation into business systems while providing continuous improvement support for manufacturing documentation and processes. Responsibilities Under the direction of Manufacturing Engineering leadership, the Manufacturing Engineering Technician will: Support compliance with company quality systems and regulatory requirements. Train personnel, including customers and suppliers, on workmanship and quality standards. Implement and maintain manufacturing procedures. Set up and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and complete associated documentation. Assemble electro-mechanical equipment, including wire and fluidic/pneumatic routing, following engineering documentation and work instructions. Support planned and unplanned production equipment maintenance and repair activities in accordance with calibration requirements and preventive maintenance schedules. Assist with new equipment installation and qualification activities. Provide hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving support for manufacturing processes. Assist with revisions and improvements to assembly and test procedures. Effectively interact with customers and internal departments to support operational goals. Identify trends and process gaps and assist with implementation of corrective actions and process improvements. Support investigations related to customer issues, complaints, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs). Respond promptly to manufacturing floor issues and take appropriate action within established quality systems. Collaborate with Program Management, Quality, and Operations to develop and approve work order routings and manufacturing records. Prepare redlined documentation for review and approval. Generate nonconformance documentation to support production activities. Support complex troubleshooting efforts and generate rework instructions as needed. Assist in the deployment of lean manufacturing initiatives. Train Assembly Technicians and Test Technicians on procedures as required. Support product launches and product transfer activities. Assist in the generation and execution of process validation and qualification documentation, including
IQ/OQ/PQ/PPQ
protocols and reports. Participate in PFMEA activities, time studies, and value stream mapping exercises. Assist in evaluating product performance data and internal metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives and Six Sigma methodologies. Lead or participate in customer-specific team meetings as required. Review incoming customer documentation packages. Support co-build and product transfer activities. Enroll equipment into electronic quality management systems (eQMS). Review, update, and generate procedures for customer processes. Develop equipment and fixture improvement recommendations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Positive attitude with strong self-motivation and follow-through. Strong customer service orientation. Excellent teamwork, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Strong electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical aptitude. Experience working in ISO 13485-certified and cGMP-regulated environments preferred. Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and
IPC/WHMA-A-620
standards preferred. Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation, including assembly drawings, component drawings, optical schematics, electrical schematics, pneumatic schematics, and wire run lists. Ability to climb stairs and lift up to 30 pounds. Associate degree in Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline preferred. Relevant manufacturing experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Two or more years of experience in medical device manufacturing, subassembly, or finished product manufacturing preferred. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Visio is a plus. SolidWorks experience preferred. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles preferred.
Pay Rate:
$24.00 - $29.00 per hour W2 Depending on Experience #INDENG
