Job Description

Manufacturing Assembly Technician About Cala Systems, Inc. Cala designs and builds intelligent heat pump water heaters that redefine the water heating industry. Combining advanced sensors, hardware, and predictive controls, Cala's system learns each home's unique hot water needs to improve hot water comfort, maximize savings, minimize carbon emissions, and provide first-of-a-kind features such as integrating with home solar and battery systems. The Role, At-a-Glance We have roles open for full time and part time manufacturing assembly technicians at Cala Systems located in Wilmington, MA. As a manufacturing assembly technician, you will be responsible for ensuring manufacturing processes run efficiently and effectively, focusing on analyzing and improving production methods, designing & implementing new equipment, and maintaining existing machinery. You will be a critical member of the production team and you will also work closely with the manufacturing engineering and R&D teams in support of the manufacturing operations. What Will I Do? Hands on Assembly of our intelligent heat pump water heaters.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
Set up, operate, and maintain manufacturing equipment, including machinery, robots, and assembly lines.
Monitoring Processes:
Keeping track of production stages, making adjustments as needed, and ensuring processes run smoothly.
Troubleshooting and Repair:
Identifying and resolving problems with equipment, making repairs, and ensuring equipment is in good working order.
Maintenance:
Performing routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain records of assembly processes, equipment maintenance, production data, and other relevant information.
Process Improvement:
Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Safety:
Follow safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and maintain a clean and organized workspace. What Qualifications Do I Need? Hands on
Mechanical Aptitude:
Ability to work with your hands to assembly equipment.
Technical Aptitude:
A strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to identify and resolve production and equipment issues effectively.
Process Improvement:
Identifying and suggesting ways to improve efficiency and productivity.
Quality Control:
Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards.
Attention to detail:
Ensuring accuracy in all tasks and documentation.
Collaboration and Communication:
Ability to communicate effectively and work with production, engineering and other team members.
Physical ability:
