General Manufacturing Technician (1st shift)

POSITION SUMMARY
The PSI Group in Williamsport MD, a leading manufacturer of corrugated boxes, is seeking General Manufacturing Technicians to join our 1st shift team. General Manufacturing Technicians assist our machine operators and are important team members in our production process. This is an entry-level, full-time position with the opportunity for on-the-job training and advancement. The core schedule for 1st shift is Monday through Thursday 5 am-2:30 pm and Friday 5 am-9 am, with the ability to work occasional overtime as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Machine Operators by safely and efficiently feeding corrugated material into the manufacturing equipment. Follow all safety rules and initiatives. Transport printing dies and ink to and from the production area. Manually transport and position empty pallets used in the manufacturing process. Assist Machine Operator with daily operations and maintenance to ensure minimal downtime and excellent finished product quality.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety first mentality. Average mechanical skills and aptitude. Basic knowledge of industrial machinery. Average verbal and written communication skills. Team-oriented approach. Ability to read a tape measure. Above average organizational skills and detail orientation. Ability to enter product specifications into the computers. Ability to handle physical workload, up to 50 pounds, standing for the majority of the shift. Basic troubleshooting experience with willingness and aptitude to increase skill level and knowledge.
