$18-20 Job Description This entry-level Production Technician role supports the manufacturing process by performing quality checks, cutting, inspecting, testing, and polishing finished products before they move to shipping. The position also involves calibrating and cleaning equipment, handling small parts with care, and accurately documenting work using computer systems in a clean, organized production environment. Responsibilities Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet established specifications and standards. Cut, inspect, test, and polish finished products prior to shipment. Calibrate production equipment according to established procedures to maintain accuracy and performance. Clean and maintain equipment in the department to support safe and efficient operations. Handle and work with small parts carefully and consistently throughout the production process. Use computer systems to enter, update, and maintain accurate production and quality documentation. Follow standard operating procedures and production guidelines to ensure consistent output. Collaborate with team members to support smooth workflow and meet production goals. Maintain a clean and orderly work area in compliance with workplace cleanliness and safety expectations. Essential Skills 1-3 years of previous manufacturing experience. Strong attention to detail when working with small parts and performing quality checks. Solid computer skills for data entry and documentation. Strong documentation skills to accurately record production and quality information. Good hand-eye dexterity for handling and processing small parts. Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures in a production environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in production, general labor, packaging, or assembly environments. Comfort working in a structured, process-driven manufacturing setting. Work Environment The role is based in a very clean production setting working with small parts. The work is not overly physical and involves standing or sitting at workstations while performing detailed tasks such as inspecting, testing, and polishing products. You will use computers for documentation and work with calibrated equipment in an organized, safety-conscious environment with a collaborative team culture. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kennebunk, ME. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
