Production Technician Job Description This role offers the opportunity to work with automated machinery to produce testing kits in a clean, regulated, and temperature-controlled environment. As a Production Technician, you support daily manufacturing operations by operating equipment, performing small-piece kitting, and following established procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality output on a first-shift schedule. Responsibilities + Operate and monitor automated machinery used in the production of testing kits, following established procedures and safety guidelines. + Perform small-piece kitting by accurately assembling and organizing components required for testing kit production. + Use computer systems to input data, follow work instructions, and track production activities with strong attention to detail. + Work efficiently in a cleanroom and controlled environment, adhering to all cleanliness, regulatory, and quality standards. + Perform repetitive production tasks with consistency, accuracy, and a focus on maintaining high-quality output. + Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly in English to ensure smooth production flow and timely completion of work. + Follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and documentation requirements related to production activities. + Identify and communicate any issues with equipment, materials, or processes to support continuous improvement and minimize downtime. + Maintain an organized work area and support general production duties as needed to meet daily and weekly production goals. Essential Skills + At least 2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience. + Comfort working in a cleanroom and regulated production environment. + Comfort performing repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and consistency. + Ability to operate and work around automated machinery in a production setting. + Strong computer skills for data entry, following digital work instructions, and tracking production activity. + Strong English comprehension for reading instructions, documentation, and communicating with team members. + Experience in production, technician, maintenance technician, automation, or packaging environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in automation or packaging processes in a manufacturing setting. + Experience supporting maintenance or basic troubleshooting of production equipment. + Ability to adapt to process changes and support continuous improvement initiatives. + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures in a regulated environment. The environment can be loud at times, though hearing protection is not required unless personally preferred. The dress code aligns with cleanroom and regulated manufacturing expectations, ensuring a professional and hygienic workspace. Employees may listen to music while working, contributing to a focused and comfortable atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Portland, ME. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43680.00
