Job Description

MAC Air Group is an owner-operated full-service aviation company located in Portland, Maine and founded in 1959. MAC Air Group's Aircraft Maintenance division services piston driven general aviation aircraft and turbine aircraft such as Hawkers, Citations, Challengers, King Airs and others. We are currently seeking experienced A&P Mechanics with strong experience with piston single and twin-engine aircraft or with solid business jet aircraft experience. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience to be considered.
A&P Mechanic General Description:
A&P Mechanics are responsible for performing aircraft maintenance as assigned.
Responsible To:
Lead Aircraft Mechanic, Director of Maintenance Summary:
a. Ensure comprehension of assigned task(s) before initiating any maintenance. If necessary, communicate concerns or questions with the Maintenance Supervisor. b. Perform all maintenance in accordance with applicable technical data, industry standards, and procedures contained in this manual. c. Perform maintenance with the highest quality of workmanship avoiding any act, which may endanger personnel or cause damage to equipment and articles. d. Perform all maintenance using proper tools and equipment and ensure that equipment is stored in its proper location upon completion. e. Ensure that the manufacturer's safety precautions are taken before initiating any maintenance. f. Complete all forms and paperwork in accordance with the instructions contained in Appendix A of the repair station manual. g. Notify the Lead Aircraft Mechanic immediately of any condition that arises which might represent a problem or unsafe condition including disputes between maintenance and inspection personnel. h. Maintain tools, equipment, and the work area in a safe and orderly condition. i. Provide instruction to less experienced employees as assigned.
