PR) is seeking a Production Engineering Technician reporting to the Production Manager, supporting post drilling and completions asset operations with a primary focus on the South Delaware Basin (Texas surface footprint) and PR asset base, including flowback, artificial lift, workover, and gas compression. This role is approximately 80% analytical/reporting work and 20% field-adjacent technical support. The Technician will build and maintain the recurring production reporting, data quality checks, and field verification that keep the team's operating decisions grounded in accurate numbers. General Responsibilities Build, maintain, and improve recurring production reporting (flare volume, downtime, deferred production, workover cost, artificial lift performance) across the SDB Texas and PR asset base Analyze production and downtime data to identify trends, distinguish chronic vs. episodic events, and surface cost or efficiency opportunities for production engineers Identify and resolve data quality issues across production data sources (missing values, join errors, misclassifications) before they reach leadership reporting Support monthly and quarterly reporting packages and materials for department leadership Coordinate with field personnel as needed (foremen, pumpers, workover crews) to validate data assumptions, downtime coding, and exception explanations Communicate findings and documentation clearly to both technical (engineering) and non-technical (field) audiences Ad hoc projects as assigned Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in oil, gas, or energy production or a related field Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Peloton WellView or SiteView, and Spotfire required Preferred Qualifications SQL or Databricks query experience strongly preferred but not required Working knowledge of artificial lift, workover, flowback, or gas compression operations Familiarity with TxRRC, TCEQ, or EPA regulatory reporting requirements Permian Resource is an equal opportunity employer.
