Job Purpose- We are looking for a highly motivated individual for an entry level skilled trade position as a Header Operator to work in our Cold Heading department. We will train the right candidate to operate the SACMA machines, as well as receive training and knowledge to identify and demonstrate the required standards of quality and performance in the cold heading department. About the Role- The position requires on the job training, with the possibility for growth and advancement as a complete setup operator. We are looking for motivated team players who would like to get in on the ground floor of a growing company, and who are willing to take charge of their own professional future.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operation of SACMA Headers Cleaning of SACMA machines and purging of machines as needed Quality check of produced parts via gauges, mics, calipers and any other related equipment Ability to read blueprints / drawings Follow 5S The candidate is required to learn and follow the work methodology used by the company. The candidate will work closely with his shift leader and other shift personnel to assure the proper continuity of the job. Change-ment of tools and raw material Knowledge of mechanics Must have reliable transportation Availability to work on weekends Demonstrate a level of technical aptitude Working conditions of a shop environment including regular exposure to noise and oils and vary temperatures. Assigned Qualifications:

To succeed as a Cold Header Operator at Norm Fasteners, you need to have the following: High School Diploma or equivalent Knowledge of SAP preferred Excellent organizational and prioritization skills Being adaptable and self-driven Teamworking skills Strong ability to troubleshooting issues Strong problem-solving attitude Previous header operator experience preferred High mechanical aptitude. Ability to read and comprehend blueprints. Experience using calipers, micrometers and gauges. Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach. Good communication skills. Physical Requirements- The job is somewhat physically demanding (Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.) Working Conditions- Ability to work under pressure, commitment to meeting demand deadlines promised to customer(s).
