PROCESS TECHNICIAN ITRAVERSE CITY, MI
- PLANTThe Process Technician I is responsible for supporting daily production operations by safely operating manufacturing equipment, assembling automotive components, and ensuring products meet Lear's quality standards. This entry-level role focuses on building foundational technical skills while contributing to efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement efforts across the plant. The RoleOperate basic manufacturing and assembly equipment in accordance with standard work instructionsPerform manual and automated assembly of automotive components (e.g., seating, interior trim, electrical systems)Inspect parts and finished products to ensure quality and compliance with specificationsIdentify and report production issues, defects, or equipment malfunctions to supervisionFollow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and lockout/tagout practicesMaintain clean, organized workstations in accordance with 5S standardsAccurately complete production and quality documentation as requiredSupport line changeovers, material handling, and basic equipment adjustmentsWork collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and customer demandParticipate in continuous improvement, training, and plant initiatives as assigned Your QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredAbility to read, understand, and follow work instructions and safety guidelinesBasic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing processesAbility to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasksAbility to lift up to [30-50 lbs., as applicable]Basic math and measurement skillsReliable attendance and strong work ethicBonus if you have:
