General Purpose of the Position:
The Electronic Technician is responsible to build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify development and production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems. Test electronics units, using standard test equipment, and analyze results. Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems. Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering instruction for the assembly and repair of electronic units. Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions. Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment. Assemble, test, and maintain circuitry or electronics components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronics. Adjust and replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components, using hand tools and soldering iron. Procure parts and maintain inventory and related documentation. Maintain working knowledge of state-of-the-art tools or software by reading or attending conferences, workshops, or other training. Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Minimum of 2 years of electronics technical college/Must be a grade 4 solder or showcase the ability to achieve. Years of Experience:
2 years in manufacturing or similar Other Qualifications:
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Well developed and proven organizational skills Ability to read electrical schematics. Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. Statistical background for information evaluation, process improvement techniques, and implementation skills. Must be available to work all shifts and/or flexible hours.
