Job Description

Service Technician Location:
Bloomington, MN Position Compensation:
~$28.85 per hour (equivalent to $60,000 annually)
Travel:
Up to 25% national travel required Position Overview A hands-on EDM Service Technician is needed to support both field and in-shop service activities for high-speed EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) drilling machines. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy troubleshooting equipment, working with their hands, and learning advanced manufacturing technology. Prior EDM experience is not required—training will be provided for candidates with strong mechanical fundamentals. Key Responsibilities Install, service, and maintain EDM drilling machines and related equipment Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues and perform repairs Use hand tools, shop equipment, and precision measurement instruments Support machine setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance Assist customers or internal teams with troubleshooting and technical questions Document service activities and maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office tools Travel nationally to customer sites for installations, service calls, and support (approx. 25%) Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude (automotive, machinery, equipment repair, or similar experience) Comfortable using hand tools, shop equipment, and reading basic schematics Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Ability to learn machine controls, electronics, and technical systems Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Willingness to be trained on EDM technology and service procedures #NowHiring
