Job Description

Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports the development, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing processes. This entry-level role assists in enhancing product quality, improving production efficiency, and supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations. The position works closely with other Engineers and cross-functional teams to help troubleshoot issues, collect data, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist with continuous improvement and lean initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes. Support troubleshooting efforts related to equipment, processes, and production issues. Help gather and analyze production and quality data to identify areas for improvement. Assist in developing and updating work instructions, standard operating procedures, and documentation. Support manufacturing layout updates and organization efforts to improve efficiency and workflow. Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to address day-to-day operational needs. Participate in root cause analysis and help implement corrective actions for quality issues. Assist with evaluating tools, equipment, and processes to improve safety, quality, and productivity. Support implementation of new processes, equipment, or product changes on the production floor. Maintain accurate records related to production, quality, and process improvements. Follow all safety policies and procedures and support a safe working environment. Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement activities. All other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree or technical certification in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments. Ability to read blueprints and use basic measuring tools (tape measure, square, etc.). Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and email. Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team. Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to lean manufacturing concepts or continuous improvement practices. Basic familiarity with CAD (2D/3D) or willingness to learn. Experience with ERP systems or production tracking tools. Familiarity with quality tools (e.g., root cause analysis, basic inspection methods).

Pay:
$70,000.00•$80,000.00 per year
