Production Technician

Job description SHIFTS AVAILABLE- (COS) 12-hour rotating shifts- 7:30PM to 7:30am & 7:30am to 7:30pm .

SUMMARY/PURPOSE

The purpose of this position is to accurately pack all products and to maintain quality control by only packing items that meet specifications. This position inspects for seals, product and code dates on all products packed in cases or bags. This position also ensures proper pack size for each product and the correct stacking pattern on the specified pallet.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 1.

Verify product, and package meet specifications. 2. Sets aside product not meeting specifications to be reworked later. 3. Ensures that pack size, lot code and pallet is correct for the product being packed. 4. Labels all cases with the appropriate label to indicate product inside and lot code. 5. Stacks cases on pallets safely and to customer specifications. 6. Keep area clean and neat at all times. 7. Complies with all safety guidelines and rules.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS 1.

Maintains Good Housekeeping Standards by cleaning machines, mopping, sweeping, organizing, and removing trash in the packing area. 2. Performs assigned daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning assignments. 3. Performs other job related duties as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four (4) hours.
• Must be able to bend, stoop and move up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Must possess finger and hand dexterity for working on machines
• Must demonstrate cooperative behaviors such as effective communications with others and showing respect for others at all times.
• Demonstrated ability to be punctual.
• Demonstrated reliability in attendance and consistency in performing job duties.
• Must demonstrate ability to follow standard procedures, with excellent attention to detail.
