Job Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment to support the safe and efficient processing of poultry products. This position ensures machinery is functioning properly, maintains product quality standards, performs routine equipment adjustments, and follows all Tyson Foods safety, food safety, and animal welfare policies. The Machine Operator plays a key role in maintaining production flow and minimizing downtime. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate production and processing equipment safely and efficiently. Monitor machine performance and make routine adjustments to maintain production standards. Inspect equipment before, during, and after operation to identify potential issues. Notify supervisors or maintenance personnel of equipment malfunctions or repair needs. Load product, ingredients, packaging materials, or supplies into equipment as required. Maintain accurate production records and complete required paperwork. Perform basic sanitation and cleaning of machinery and work areas. Follow USDA, OSHA, Tyson Foods safety, food safety, and quality requirements. Maintain production goals while minimizing waste and downtime. Assist with line changeovers and startup/shutdown procedures. Cross-train and perform other production duties as assigned. Must have 6 months experience within the last 12 months. • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
