Job Description

Production Technician Missoula, MT A Missoula based company designs, builds, and supports electronic control systems used in traffic safety and data collection applications. Operating in a small production lab environment, the team focuses on hands-on assembly, quality control, and continuous improvement to deliver reliable equipment used in real-world field conditions. The organization values teamwork, accountability, and practical problem-solving, and offers a stable work environment where employees contribute directly to the quality and performance of the products they build. The Production Technician supports the assembly, testing, and preparation of electronic control systems used for the company's traffic safety and data collection equipment. This role is hands-on and essential in a small, fast-paced production lab environment where teamwork, attention to detail, and accountability are valued.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Assemble, label, test, and perform basic quality checks on production cables and electrical subassemblies Support retrofit projects by removing legacy controllers, installing updated hardware, and modifying existing wiring Assist with shipping and receiving components and finished assemblies Organize and maintain lab inventory, including kits, spare parts, and hardware Prepare and maintain build documentation, kits, and work orders Maintain a clean, safe work environment and collaborate with technicians to resolve production issues
Qualifications:
1 to 3 years of experience in electronics or mechanical assembly Proficient with basic hand tools and familiar with soldering and wiring practices Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and wiring diagrams Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety Experience with cable assembly standards, industrial or MIL-spec connectors, ERP/MRP systems, or material handling equipment preferred High school diploma or equivalent Quick 10 second application, e-mail or call dre@lcstaffing.com 406-298-9148 41866
