Job Description
To execute efficient setup, operation, troubleshooting, and changeovers of various filling and packaging equipment, ensuring optimal line performance, product quality, and adherence to regulatory requirements (FDA cGMP, MoCRA). This role directly impacts operational efficiency, throughput, and product quality. Responsibilities Perform rapid and accurate changeovers of filling, capping, labeling, and packaging equipment according to production schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Set up, adjust, and operate filling lines for various product types (liquids, creams, gels, fragrances) and container formats. Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections to ensure equipment reliability and longevity. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on filling and packaging machinery, performing minor repairs as needed to minimize downtime. Monitor line performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and yield. Ensure all operations comply with FDA cGMP, MoCRA, OSHA, and internal quality standards. Complete accurate production records, batch records, and maintenance logs. Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to optimize processes and resolve operational challenges. Train and mentor junior technicians on equipment operation and changeover procedures. Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment, preferably in personal care, pharmaceutical, or food & beverage industries. Proven experience with filling and packaging machinery, including setup, operation, troubleshooting, and changeovers. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Familiarity with cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and other relevant regulatory requirements. Proficiency in using hand and power tools for equipment adjustments and repairs. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment. Preferred Skills Technical certification or associate's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics). Experience with specific filling technologies (e.g., piston fillers, positive displacement pumps, gravimetric fillers). Familiarity with BatchMaster or SAP B1 systems for production order management and data entry. Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience. #INDW3
