Position Summary:
Responsible for operating and monitoring production line equipment to ensure bakery products are produced safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. The Line Operator performs equipment checks, monitors product quality, maintains a clean work area, and works with the production team to meet daily production goals. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operate and monitor automated and semi-automated bakery production equipment. Set up and adjust machinery as needed to maintain proper production flow. Monitor the production line for product quality, weight, appearance, packaging, and proper labeling. Perform routine quality checks and report any defects or issues to the supervisor. Load raw materials and packaging materials into equipment as required. Remove finished products from the line and ensure they are properly packaged and prepared for shipment. Monitor equipment for jams, malfunctions, or unusual operating conditions and make basic adjustments when permitted. Complete production records, quality checks, and other required documentation accurately. Follow food safety, GMP, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures at all times. Maintain a clean and sanitary production area throughout the shift. Assist with line changeovers, cleaning, and basic equipment maintenance. Communicate production or quality concerns to supervisors and maintenance personnel. Work as part of a team to meet production schedules and efficiency goals. Perform other production duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous production, manufacturing, or food manufacturing experience preferred. Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn and operate production equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to lift and move materials as required.
