Job Description

Description Contract to direct position for a Manufacturing Technician for 2nd shift assembly and testing of optical components. Meet production and quality requirements along with the manufacturing technician team. Responsible for optical fiber handling, fiber cleaving, fiber splicing, and optical power measurements. This is a great opportunity to learn a new profession. The position should lead to direct employment with the company within 6 months. Requirements High School Diploma or GED. Basic computer Skills (Word / Excel). Basic math skills (a good understanding of fractions, decimals, etc.). Good hand eye coordination, able to handle small optical fibers. Ability to read work instructions and to write legibly. Prior assembly or manufacturing technician experience ideal but not required. This is a great opportunity to learn a new profession in fiber optics. #ERGx
